Terrance L. Bankston was born and reared in the South Ward of Newark. He is committed to the enhancement and advancement of the members of his community and challenges young people to make positive contributions to society. Mr. Bankston believes that the aforementioned is vital because ultimately “leadership recycling” will create direction to possible pathways to opportunities and roads to success. Terrance believes that giving back to a community that has raised and guided you, empowers us as a people who will have greater impact on the world. As a graduate of Newark’s Arts High School he has received numerous awards for his exceptional leadership and commitment to empowering others to excel beyond the stereotypes of the world. Terrance also served as the Student Council President of Arts High School in Newark for the 1999-2000 academic school years. After receiving his BA in Political Science with a focus in Public Policy, from Bloomfield College of New Jersey, Terrance enrolled at Seton Hall University as a Graduate student, fall 2004. Recently, he completed a master’s program at Fairleigh Dickerson University, adding a Masters in Administrative Science to his credentials.
